recognition for the nation's best and brightest since 1992.
Research & Gradings has been
providing recognition for the achievements and fine work of
municipal professionals since 1992. SMITH's Municipal All-Star
Program is the only program that consistently and prominently
provides recognition in the municipal space.
SMITH’s Municipal All-Star
Program starts with the formation
of SMITH's Blue Ribbon Ballot Committee of Portfolio
Managers in January and February. Members of SMITH’s Blue
Ribbon Ballot Committee are asked to nominate the nation’s
leading municipal analysts to the ballot. Completed ballot
nomination forms are sent back in early summer.
Once the ballot nominations are
compiled and verified, the final ballot is sent out to 1,000
institutional investors for voting. Only Institutional Investors
can vote. Each ballot is identified with a unique voter I.D.
Investors have the option of completing the paper ballot or
registering to vote online in the electronic voting booth .
SMITH’s Municipal All-Star Program
includes rating agencies, sellside and buyside firms as well as
independent research analysts.
